Jackson Hole Mountain Resort

Located in Teton Village, Wyoming, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is the largest and most popular ski area in Wyoming, and one of the most challenging ski areas in the U.S. Jackson Hole is the name of the entire valley in which the resort is located. With more than 2,500 acres of varied and skiable terrain spreading over two adjacent mountains, the resort boasts more than 4,000ft of continuous vertical drop, and 24 miles of groomed trails. First opened in 1965 with only one chairlift, the Jackson Hole has become one of the most famous ski areas in Wyoming and the Western United States, which attracts skiers and snowboarders of all levels from around the world.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has a reputation as one of the toughest mountains on the continent. The terrain is divided into three areas- Apres Vous Mountain, the Casper Bowl Area, and Rendezvous Mountain, each with their own level of difficulty. Annual snow fall at the resort is around 380 inches. The runs are 10% beginner, 40% intermediate and 50% advanced, and they are serviced by lifts- aerial tram, high speed quad, and the 8-person Bridger gondola. Après Vous Mountain sits at 8,841-feet and offers thrilling skiing on slopes that are well suited for beginner to intermediate level skiers. The resort has a European style resort-based system of guides to accompany skiers in the un-roped areas.

The resort is active year-round, and in the summer, the resort becomes a paradise for mountain bikers, hikers, and sightseers, with the Big Red 63-passenger aerial tram gliding 4,139 vertical feet from the base of Teton Village to the top of Rendezvous Mountain. The lift provides splendid views of Jackson Hole and quick access to Grand Teton National Park’s high country trails. Seven miles of service roads provides mountain bikers with the opportunity to pedal the terrain and explore the landscape that supports an array of colorful wildflowers and wildlife.

Still, Teton Village offers diverse opportunities for summer fun to just about everyone.  Fine shops, spas, bars, and restaurants can be found in Teton Village. The award-winning and gondola-accessed Couloir is Jackson Hole’s premier dining spot. Other activities include paragliding rides, horseback riding, and cowboy cookouts. At the Kids Ranch Day Camp, children can enjoy trampoline jumping and climbing the rock wall. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is a season long getaway destination where memories can be made to last a lifetime.
