Ski Runs of Bridger Bowl, Montana

Bridger Bowl is a non-profit ski area located on the east slope of the Bridger Mountain Range in Montana. It offers 2000 acres of skier- and rider-accessible terrain, with four large bowls within its boundaries, with a variety of landscapes, including long, wide-open slopes, glades, chutes and gullies. Bridger Bowl has a base elevation of 6100 feet and a summit elevation of 8700 feet. Known for its light and fluffy “cold smoke” snow, which averages 350 inches a year, its 2700 foot vertical rise is serviced by eight chairlifts suited to accommodate beginners to the most extreme expert skiers and riders.

The mountain is a large funnel or "V" shape, with beginner slopes situated in the base area, novice terrain stretched across the lower middle, wide-open intermediate flows in the center, advanced open bowl terrain in the upper third, and expert terrain sweeping from the ridge top. Bridger Bowl’s ridge terrain provide opportunities for some of the most excitingly challenging skiing and riding on the slopes, with numerous steep chutes, rock cliffs, and snow fields, which may end in cliffs lacking hazard markings, grooming, or marked trails.

Bridger Bowl’s ridge terrain is best suited for expert skiers and snowboarders. Users ride  Schlasman’s Lift (pronounced Slushman’s), and require an avalanche transceiver to gain access. The terrain of “The Ridge” is unique and features steep chutes, open powder fields, and 75 named trails of varying difficulty levels and more unnamed trails.

There are two terrain parks that are accessed from the Sunnyside Lift. The Upper Terrain Park has some challenging features that change with conditions, and larger jumps. Some of the features include  a 20" double barrel rail, step-in and step-out butter pad, tire bonk, pole jam, a lift tower (urban), a 4” 35’ urban rail, 15’ lift tower / 5’ - 15’ flat down, elbow rail, and quarter with coping and wall ride. The Lower Terrain Park is a small park with a series of rails, boxes and jumps.

Bridger Bowl has lots of impressive and gnarly terrain for skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities. The laid-back atmosphere of the hill creates a family-friendly space. Bridger Bowl  is a great place to enjoy Montana skiing.
