This Wyoming 1906 map was produced by Bartholomew of Edinburgh and was licensed to numerous atlases and encyclopedias of the time.
John Bartholomew, a significant cartographer from 1831-1893 learned his trade from his own father. His son, John George Bartholomew (1860-1920) brought the family firm to prominence. Eventually five generations were involved in the company trade. The maps produced by the Bartholomew family were the first maps to use color to indicate elevation, which was quite spectacular at the time.
Wyoming has become the new destination for today's adventurers, while remaining the home to generations of families. Wyoming owes it's mystique to thousands of acres of wild lands and the solid foundation of agriculture, culminating to form the true American West we all long for.
